The Challenge
The Bring it Back scheme is pioneered by charity PECT (Peterborough Environment City Trust), and is helping to reduce single use plastics across the city and surrounding areas.
To help bring their project to life, first of all PECT needed a marketing and communication strategy that would reach every community group in the city. School students. Office workers. Commuters. Families. Retirees. Young. Old. Rich. Poor. We had to find a way to engage them all.
We knew that to make this project stand out, we needed to create a bold and eye-catching brand with marketing materials that would get everyone talking. Then a microsite that would explain the project and what each community was doing.
Here at Kakadu, we’re advocates for the environment and a building a sustainable future, so we were more than happy to take on this project and work with PECT to bring it all to life.
Project Scope…
• Brand Discovery
• Brand Stylescapes
• Brand Identity Creation
• Custom Illustrations

Our Approach & The Result
Cleaner coffee for everybody!
We teamed up with the talented crew at Chroma Marketing to create an outstanding marketing strategy which we then transformed into a strong and impactful brand identity for the project, including a clean and clever logo, custom illustrations and a bold visual style.
Alongside this, we designed and built their low-carbon, sustainable website – a site that emits just 0.26g of CO2 per view with no compromises on content, features or functionality.
We designed eye-catching collection points and project signage, a reusable cup design and a digital toolkit that will help other communities to create their very own Bring It Back scheme.
And there’s plenty more to come too!
